In his SOTU address Obama said, “The Executive Branch also needs change. Too often,it’s inefficient, out dated and remote. That’s why I’ve asked this congress to grant me the authority to consolidate Federal Bureaucracy so that our government is leaner, quicker, and more responsive to the needs of the American people.”

I had hoped when i heard this, that he had come to recognize that perhaps he truly was not the man for the job. But then he went on to attack the way this system was so eloquently set up so that it wasn’t “leaner and quicker”. Is this not a step towards a dictatorship?
